alright, here's the scoop: READ THIS
Last weekend I was watching TV late and Showtime at the Apollo came on ( its like the original American Idol and where many famous star got their start) I checked it out and found out that they were holding auditions yesterday in Baltimore for their hit T.V. show.
I made arangements with my parents and we went to Inner Harbor. Not even a lie, I was the ONLY white person in line. It was kinda funny cause they all looked at me like , " child, you know what line youre in, right?!" So we waited like an hour before I went in to audition.
Everyone thus far had told us that the judges won't tell you anything, they'll just call you in a couple weeks, so that's exactly what I was expecting. I went in and auditioned with the most soulful version of "Crazy" by Patsy Cline I could do. The judges kinda cut my 90 seconds short. I walked off the stage and to my surprise they called me and my parents over to them. The one lady looked at me and said, "ok, we would really like for Tiffany to come to NYC to be on our T.V. show for the taping of Showtime at the Apollo." I instantly burst into tears because i was so excited and shocked. They said they loved the way I sang "Crazy and they never heard anyone sing it like that.
So from September 29th-October 2nd, I will be in NYC. I don't have all the details yet, but I'll keep all of you posted. I am still in total and utter shock. :)
Moral of the story: White girls CAN sing!!! |
